It's almost 2009....that means 5 months and a day or so until I graduate. Meep.

And now, boredom.

Lots of quizzes...follow the link...or not. )

And Happy New Year! (In a few hours)

Things I love/miss about home:

1. Stores that don't exist in VA: Borders, Munsons, etc.
2. Even when there's no reasonable parking at the mall, just park on the roof, because there's ALWAYS parking up there...and it's impossible to forget where you parked your car in that lot. Haha.
3. SNOW.
4. The stoplights blink after 10 PM, which means you generally don't have to stop at them unless they're blinking red in which case you treat them like a stop sign
5. "I want Dunkin' Donuts...oh crap, I just passed it. That's ok, there will be another one within a half mile or so."
6. My crazy, messed up family.
7. Church...I just can't find one I really like in VA. So far anyway.
8. I know how to get everywhere about 10 different ways in case there's traffic.
9. REAL seafood.
10. The shore in general.
11. There's a Swedish store. Cardamom bread. yum.
12. Friendly's ice cream.
13. Not having to correct myself if I say "grinder" or pronounce stuff strangely.
14. I can talk fast and people understand me. =P

Um.......and that's all for now I guess.

Pre-warning, all the links in this post are actual journal cuts to images. =D

First off, completely unrelated to anything else, but if anyone has ever seen Bingo America on GSN, I want a Bingo number ball thing like they have for when we play at school. Haha.

Anyway, it's great to be home, even if there's some sucky/scary stuff going on too. It's nice to be able to spend time with my family...and my cat ) of course. She likes to sit on my lap while I type and just stare at me, begging me to pet her. And now she's laying on my actual arm to make it harder to type...

And to prove New England weather crazy, i was in the 60s today, but it's supposed to snow and sleet tomorrow and Wednesday, Snow on Thursday, and snow and sleet again on Friday. The roads )(yes, I live in suburbia....deal with it) are bare right now...and yet PA ) had it on the way up....crazy mountains. Specifically the Poconos.

And yay for grades. B- for Spanish Civ and Culture as well as 20th Century Spanish Lit. And I got an 87 on the final in Civ and Culture. A- in Senior Symposium (94 on Participation, 90 on the project...sooo close to having raised my GPA a little more, but it's my first A in a GST course, haha), and an A in CPSC.

Ooo...and despite my dad not being able to help set up the Christmas tree this year (after not wanting to for the pas two), my uncle found our shorter tree up in the attic and brought it down. And because this one actually comes apart into separate pieces unlike the taller one, I was able to set it up by myself. See? )

That's all. Blah.

Mood:relieved relieved

I feel like a huge weight has been lifted off my shoulders.

I think I did well enough on my exam for Span 312, not as well as I had hoped on Span 430, and then pretty well on CPSC. At least with the latter two, I'd pass even with getting 0s on the final, which I know I didn't do. Then I'm just hoping for Span 312 I got a high enough grade on the final to get a solid B.

So now it's just down to finishing up my wiki project for symposium. Then I have to pack like a crazy person tonight so I can drive to NY tomorrow, stay at Sara's, then drop off Kayla on Saturday and go home! =D
I get NORTHERN Chinese food on Friday night. It's kind of exciting. And my dad promised me REAL seafood for Saturday night as long as it's not snowing/sleeting. Otherwise we'll still go sometime while I'm home. Then again, since he's told me that, the weather now just calls for rain, but New England sucks at sticking to the weather forecast. :( No more Nor'easter. Sad day. Though, it'll be beneficial to get home in one piece I suppose. I just want snow...and soon. White Christmas? Please?

And just checked one of those weather route things...according to it I might hit light snow in part of Virginia and in Harrisburg. Oh well, I'll deal. I just want to be home for a while...haven't been in 11 months.

And it is OFFICIALLY acceptable to listen to Christmas Music. And if not, it will be in....2 hours and 6 minutes.

I win! =D

Is it bad that I actually already changed my text message tone and ringtone to Christmas music? I actually did it yesterday and the day before....

Part of me just wants to pack up and go home for Thanksgiving even though I said I'd be staying here...and the other part of me still thinks it's not worth it. I end up driving for 2 of the days, so I'd be home for 2, maybe 3 days top. And then I have to turn around and do it like, a week and a half later. So not only do I spend that much time on the road, I also would have to pay twice as much for gas.

And as much as this summer was great and I did need the money, I'm starting to wish I had gone home so it would stop bugging me so much.

I'll just blame the stress and go with it's a good thing I'm staying here...it means all those hours I would be driving I can work on the 8 or so things that are due next week.

On the brighter side, I bought books the other day. I miss how much I used to read when I was younger, and now I'm taking as much of my "free" time as I possibly can to do so.

IT'S CHRISTMAS AT WAL-MART!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I bought candy canes. YUM. 90 cents on a debit card, that's how you know you're a college student.

Hehe.

Oh, and Twilight premier in two weekends. I've yet to figure out if I'm going to class that Friday or not. I dunno if I'd be able to get out of bed or not.

And I'm watching the election update itself online. It's kind of amusing. And Obama is winning so far. *knock on wood*

Edit: And now we have a president.

So needless to say I haven't read yet. I suck at this game.

Um...and now it needs to get cold enough to snow. Please?

This entry is under a cut for a reason. Probably considered whining...so up to you if you read it. I just need a venting outlet right now.

Happy Candy Day Halloween! I'm just happy that I didn't have class this morning so I could sleep until 10. Except I'm probably coming back to work after lunch to correct more tests. Blah. Oh well, more for my paycheck next week. Woot. Haunted House tonight and Rocky Horror tomorrow...it'll be a pretty busy weekend though, especially with tearing down the Haunted House tomorrow.

Whenever I save stuff on the computers in Olin I lose it...unless it's something that I open. For some reason, even though I save stuff in my z drive, it's not there when I go to a computer that isn't a Mac, and honestly I don't even know if it would be there on the Macs....kind of annoying actually.

Is it Christmas yet?

...so I kind of wish my Spanish book would spontaneously combust so I could blame not reading it on that.

Um...and I think our school should do musical theatre. Please?

Look Kristin! Another update! And I have more friends!

Ok, I'm done with exclamation points now.

And on to more homework avoidance. Woo hoo.

Um...so Spamalot is awesome. As is seeing it for free. Thank you Target and TKTS in Times Square. I'm kind of looking forward to going home for Christmas for once because I might be going back into the city with some people and going to see more shows. I just hope I have enough money. I just won't eat at all unless it's uber cheap, and I won't go shopping. I did well enough on the latter the last time anyway.

I'm being really random right now. Oh well.

More randomness that might be constituted as wining. Therefore I am warning you via LJ-cut and you don't have to read it if you don't want to.... )

So I haven't kept a journal in a really long time, but I might start up again. This is mainly to watch Kristin's music blog thing, but I figured I should update while I'm at it.

Who knows how often this will actually happen, but I'll try. Unfortunately, that's all for now. I just figured I needed to post something to make this less blank...especially because I have a pretty layout. Yay.
